public class NotifyTag

extends javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.TagSupport

This tag allows to notify that a page has been reached. This tag should be used with J2EE implementations prior to 1.4 only. For J2EE 1.4 implementations, the raccomanded way to notify that a page has been reached is the PageNotifierFilter, which into a J2EE 1.4 environment can be configured to handle both FORWARD and REQUEST.
